Dr. Priyanka Datta is an Emergency Medicine attending physician at NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County and serves as Director of the Clinical Forensic Medicine Fellowship and Director of Clinical Forensic Services. She specializes in the integration of emergency care and forensic medicine, with a focus on strengthening trauma-informed medical responses to intimate partner and gender-based violence. Dr. Datta collaborates closely with the NYC Mayor’s Office to End Gender-Based Violence and New York City District Attorney’s offices, and has trained thousands of law enforcement officers and prosecutors. She is the founder and Medical Director of Kings CARES, a forensic follow-up practice dedicated to providing comprehensive, survivor-centered care regardless of insurance or documentation status. Through clinical leadership, education, and cross-sector collaboration, Dr. Datta works to improve survivor outcomes and advance system-level change in the care of individuals affected by violence.
